A BILL to repeal §9-2-9b of the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, relating to contract procedures for the Medicaid program.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
ARTICLE 9. HUMAN SERVICES.
§1. Repeal of section relating to contract procedure for the Medicaid program.
    §9-2-9b of the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, is hereby repealed.

    NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to repeal the purchasing exemption provided to the Medicaid program.

    This bill has been recommended for passage during the 2013 Regular Session by the Joint Committee on Health.

    By striking out the title and substituting therefor a new title, to read as follows:
    Eng. Senate Bill No. 194-A Bill
to repeal §9-2-9b of the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, relating to contract procedures for the Medicaid program; and eliminating Department of Health and Human Resources' exemption for contracts for the Medicaid program from purchasing requirements.
